About The Chef...
Hunger: One of the few cravings that cannot be appeased with another solution. ~Irwin Van Grove
A career in food wasn't my first choice. Originally, I attended Penn State University to study computer science. After one too many all-nighters in the computer lab, I decided maybe I should change focus to a more software-oriented area. While there, I took a job cooking at Highway Pizza and found something I really enjoyed. After graduation, I enrolled at JNA Culinary Institute where I was first in my class, participated on our Bronze medal-winning Culinary Olympics team, and was inducted into Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society. O'Donnell's Pour House, in Sea Isle City, was my first stop out of culinary school. Then it was off to Ristorante Trinacria for a go as their pastry chef. Coleman's at Normandy Farms followed. Then down to Meredith's in Berwyn where I worked my way up to sous chef only to leave for a head chef position at Totaro's Trattoria in Conshohocken. In that time, I met the love of my life, Dana, whom I married. After the wedding we welcomed a new addition to our family, our English Bulldog, Lucy.
